Local legends of the Visayan islands of the Philippines tell of places where invisible, magical folk live.  These magical folk protect the animals.  Whoever harms the animals fall into misfortune.  Those who let the animals be are granted good fortune.  These places are sanctuaries for wildlife.

Mari-it Wildlife Conservation Park is one of the last of these places of sanctuary.
